This choice means that you will receive an 8.5” x 11” final trim size Custom Print Booklet.

The Custom Print 8.5" x 11" Booklet after excess image or printed area bleed has been cut off is called the final trim size.

Bleed is the area where printed ink goes past the trim lines so that when the final trim is made the ink will go fully out to the edge of the final trimmed printed piece. Bleed requirements vary by product but is typically 1/8” (.125”) in addition to the final trim size required.

So to produce a full bleed printed product that will trim to 8.5” x 11” the actual artwork and what will be printed should have printed area bleeding past the trim lines to a distance of 1/8” (.125”) all the way around the perimeter of the document.

The necessary artwork for a full bleed 8.5” x 11” final trim should be provided as 8.75” x 11.25”.
